They feel as though there aren\u2019t enough hours in the week to do their jobs, and that leads to <strong>higher stress<\/strong> and <strong>burnouts<\/strong>. They often choose to join companies that understand the importance of <strong>work-life balance<\/strong>. <em><strong>The <\/strong><\/em><strong><em>fix<\/em><\/strong>: take a <strong>proactive <\/strong>approach and make sure <strong>work is distributed evenly <\/strong>across your organisation. You can find out if they\u2019re overworked by using <strong>anonymous pulse surveys<\/strong> or just asking them face-to-face. A recent Linkedin study shows that 94% of employees would stay longer if the company invested in their career development. <strong>Offer adequate opportunities<\/strong> for growth, start a <strong>mentoring program<\/strong>, encourage your team to attend relevant <strong>conferences<\/strong>, invest in <strong>training <\/strong>and <strong>team building<\/strong> and make yourself <strong>available to listen to and support<\/strong> their professional goals.<\/li>\n<li>Your employees aren\u2019t <strong>recognised for their hard work<\/strong>.
